I do STUPID amount of REVISON (Is It Bad For Me)

In y10 I was one of the "popular" kids had lots of girlfriends and was a party kid plus I did no revision the whole year. Now in y11 I am the definition of a nerd. I am no longer as "popular" as I was (coz I revise to much😂) and haven't had a girlfriend this whole year n never meet up with people all for the sake of revision. At the start of y11 I did 3-4 hours(5hrs on weekends) of revision outside of schl and now (a month away from the exams) I am doing 6-8 hrs of revision after school (basically I spend my whole day everyday studying:smile: Is this bad for my health ?? I am the most improved in my year e.g. I went from a 2 in maths (in y10) to a 7 in maths (in y11 mocks) that's 5 grades I went up in 6 months!!! (p.s I am rubbish at maths) another subject I went up on average 3 grades. I literally had to learn the whole maths higher content in 6months, went over the whole of combined science in 6months and went over the whole content of history and geography (I got the highest marks in the year for both those subjects) I guess the revision is getting me good grades but is it too much ?? (if u're wondering how I can do that much revision bascally I am so self motivated that I will study form when I wake up tile I go to bed if I had to just so I can get a good grade. even tho it's stressful sometimes I acc don't mind it:smile:) but is all that revision worth it?? even if I get the grades I want

It is good, but make sure you dotn overdo it. Socialising is a good way of perfecting interpersonal skills that you will need, plus over revising can leave you stale or be counterproductive. Try and find balance so you take a day off a week and still manage other activities to keep yourself in the best shape.

Good luck. but dont overdo it.
Wow! That is so impressive and I wish that I had the motivation to revise so much everyday but unfortunately my revision had been on the back-burner recently. Anyways, the only thing I would worry about is overworking yourself, as in after GCSEs are over you will most likely crash and burn from doing so much work. Its not necessarily going to be physical tiredness but more emotional and you will really need to use the longer summer to kick back and relax.

Well done on your improved grades and good luck for the real exams xxx

Thanks. and yh after the exams finish this will be the best summer I've ever had. Anyways u can motivate u're self to work hard it's all in your mind trust me. I was never this motivated the only reason I am is coz I realize how important eduction is in life and I want the best job and life in the future that's what motivates me to work so hard. You've got to find something that you want to thrive for (like a goal) and just work hard at it. Trust me when I started revising for hours after schl it wasn't nice, but coz. I was so motivated there were times were I enjoyed studying (as weird as that sounds😂) But I promise once you've done hardcore studying for bout a month it becomes so much easier to keep going honestly but the first 1-2 weeks will be hell just plzzz don't gv up otherwise you'll lose motivation (hope this helps )) x
I think you're doing fine. It's an important milestone in your life. Once you're past it you can relax a little.

Provided you're not loosing sleep, not having panic attacks, etc. then there is nothing wrong.

Forgo a little popularity earlier in life, so you can get more later. Drop-outs and the like, don't get much respect. Acting like a fool only wins you popularity in school. Sometimes in university, but those tend to drop out in the first year as well.
You know what mate. You have 3 weeks left and most of the people in Year 11 you will never see again. Don't lose sleep and eat, thats important
