AIC Eric Help

I'm new here so sorry if this is not in the right place but, I've got an essay due in on Monday about how Eric is presented. I have two paragraphs left one is on "not quite at ease, half shy, half assertive" and i need another quote on how he he is presented through how he responds to the other characters. Any help with analysis would be gratefully accepted.

The fact that he “suddenly guffaws” shows that he’s awkward and foreshadows the fact that he’s not innocent
