Possibilities taking a phd bursary

Hi there,

I'm a physiotherapist and currently MSc student (part-time) and professional (full time) in private practice. Recently I have applied for a phd funded topic at QMU in a topic related to my overall progress in MSc studies and practice. I receive a huge help from the supervisor to complete my proposal and he was satisfied with the result. Note that I'm blended learning student there at the moment and I have excellent relashionhip with lecturers etc. There only 5 funded places for almost 20 topics....

how to calculate my posibilities as 1st honours Bsc, Merit PGdip and currently doing my MSc thesis, 3 years of practice in the relevant topic.....?

Anyone's guess. You have as good a chance as any other applicant but beyond that it is really difficult to say. If your research area is something of a hot topic then that'll bolster your chances but honestly it is just a waiting game. Sometimes these decisions seem to lack rhyme or reason - I've been there!
