Why are diffusion and osmosis important in animals and plants?
Remember that diffusion is going from a high concentration to a low concentration.
Diffusion could occur in the cells of plants where particles would be transported around the cell, as well as moving in and out of the cell.

Diffusion could also occur in the lungs where gaseous exchange occurs, CO2 can be diffused out to the lungs so we breath it out. (this is possible as the capillary is only one cell thick making it able to diffuse) As well oxygen being diffused back into the capillary so it can be carried by RBC's around the body.

Hope this helps
