Hair dye patch test

I did a patch test with garnier nutrisse hair dye behind both ears and on the bend of my inner elbow, I had no reaction for 24 hours, I applied a little more just to be safe and I scratched the area a bit. I have no reaction on my elbow or right ear, but my left was a little red for 5 minutes, not blistered or peeling. I don't think I scratched hard enough for it to be that red, but everywhere else I have had no reaction. Is it safe to use after the 48 hours if I continue to not have a reaction?
