If you have unprotected sex but the guy doesn't *** or finish, what are your chances of catching HIV?
You can get HIV from contact with infected blood, semen or vaginal fluids. Most people get HIV by having unprotected sex with someone who has HIV. The simple fact is that HIV is present in both a male's semen and pre-seminal fluid. While the chances of contracting HIV from just the pre-seminal fluid are low, they can be very high if the person with HIV has gone a long time without treatment. This is because the volume of the virus inside the pre-seminal fluid increases if the virus goes untreated.
If you are worried that you could have contracted the virus, go to your local Sexual Health Clinic for a test, or to your GP. However, there is an incubation period with viruses like this. For the most accurate test, you should get tested 12 weeks after having intercourse. If you want to get tested earlier that's fine, but the results won't be as accurate.
Hope this helped.
It depends on what you were doing. If he is HIV+ (which he probably isn't) and isn't on treatment that means he can't transmit HIV (which, if he knows he's HIV+, he probably would be), and he comes inside your..
.. mouth - tiny risk, quite probably nil
.. vagina - about a one in a thousand risk of getting HIV
.. anus - about a one in a hundred risk.
Without him coming inside you, the risks are going to be less.. but - with the exception of oral - not zero.
If you want to test, a modern one will give reliable results about a month after the possible exposure.
