Did anyone get a email back after sending the email saying accept to confirm they received it?

Reply 181

I’ve just accepted the offer today and I’ve given them all of the details such as my referees and all on the civil service website. Now it’s saying that they’re in the process of doing them. But no email or whatsoever though.

Same here. No email confirmation.

Has anyone heard anything from Newcastle yet? I had my interview in April and still not heard. They haven’t even replied to my emails!

I got a 4 4 5 and got put on a reserve list for three months. The wait is so painful. Is there any chance of me even being made an offer now. Has anybody from HMRC or here ever been made an offer from a reserve list and how long did it take?

I really think it depends on the location you’ve applied for, maybe some locations are in the position to make an offer right away and some aren’t. Not necessarily because of how much you’ve scored. Regardless, things like people not accepting the offers, people resigning and also training/induction schedules are all factors as to when you may get yours. Keep your head up!

Thanks so much for replying! Glad to know I’m not the only one; although I’m sad that you’re probably feeling the same frustration and misery as me!

Hi I was put on a reserve list In Feb i got call about a week a go to offer me the job and I was told to wait for an email to come through so they could process the checks and I'm still waiting! It's a very long and slow process! I heard they try not to have you on a reserve list for too long and normally get back to people within roughly 6 months

I'm in Birmingham. Thanks I've still been applying for jobs so if a better opportunity comes up before I will go for that. It's just a waiting game really. Well done for getting on the reserve list and I'm pretty positive you will get a response. My advise would be not to give up the job search and keep your fingers crossed ! 😁

Hi I applied in March and just recieved a conditional offer. I have to complete a pre employment check. I am still not excited as Iam worried they gonna turn me down because I had a speed offence which is now expired few months ago.

Guys, I've just done the standard DBS check as per instructions. Once completed, it said that I'd have to take my ID's to the relevant organisation. But civil service haven't requested this in their email. Does anyone know why? I hope I haven't missed something important :frown:

Hey @civilservice,

I have also received the same message. So do we have to take the ID??

I have not received any email from them stating this.

Thank you

Hi @toobs777,

No, because you have already given the ID's when you went for the interview. They should have taken a copy.

@civilservice Thanks for getting back.

Yes, that's what I thought too.

Do you have any idea how long these checks can take?
