I did exactly the same. Been on reserve list since March. No real detail on the day to day duties I think it depends what area you get

I am a little confused. Is compliance team part of customer service consultant or is it a different job role?

No I applied for customer service consultant and was offered a role in compliance team instead.

I’ve said before on other threads, just getting an interview is almost 1 foot in the door. You will be asked a question on each of the behaviours listed on the job ad. Check what behaviours they are testing you against and then check the Successful Profiles attachment on your online account. That will show you what kind of answers they’re looking for. What office have you applied for?

I applied for customer service consultant. My interview went well but now I am left with no information how long will it take for them to get back to me?

They do interviews for a whole 4 weeks or a month, once these are Done they will let you know the outcome the next day. When you book your interview slot it tells you the Schedule for all the interviews.
Hope this helps

Compliance is customer service it's just not as customer-facing as the call centre work. It'll basically be getting ppl's cases for whatever (eg tax credit claims) and working through claims that have some sort of activity that needs to be checked ie. Risky changes, income discrepancies etc. So you'll be most likely be work stuff like that and probably calling the customer to rectify issues

I wonder how they decide who gets placed in the compliance / customer service groups

It'll just be whatever job is available at the time. Customer service consultant is just a general term for many jobs

Good to hear! I thought I would be stuck on that phone forever

Reply 1592

Ohhhh I’m jealous, I would love to work in Compliance! I’m right on the front line in Debt Management.

What do you have to do in debt management?

Hi,Not relevant to this role but I've applied for an industrial placement and received a provisional offer mid June and an email saying I've completed the pre-employment checks on 9th July, and tha tthe vacancy holder will be in touch. However, I have not heard back from the vacancy holder so still waiting for a formal offer... any idea how long this takes? Thanks

im in the same boat as you. I got that email on 22nd July... Im still waiting for my vacancy holder

So I interviewed for Customer Service Consultant in Feb. I scored 777 on my interview and was put on reserve list in March. I emailed recruitment who advised they didn’t have start dates even though the6 were recruiting 100 people. I then got the Provisional offer for compliance job in May and formal offer on 12th July. It’s my understanding that compliance are a totally different section than customer service as the job description said it’s a non telephony based role. When new vacancies come up, it’s standard practice to offer them to people on reserve lists as it cuts down recruitment time and resources. I believe this is what happened to me.

I've literally sat with a group of compliance workers whose job it is to sit and ring customers asking why the information they've declared doesn't match our records... that's def telefony based 😂 doesn't mean all of compliance is but some aspects clearly are

There's tonnes of jobs in compliance though. You don't realise til you get in that a job title or your department means absolutely nothing... cause there's so many various roles within each department or job heading

Reply 1598

It’s possible then that the department I’m going to does not involve that type of work. Will need to wait and see

The job description says we’ll be the first point of contact with customers- face to face, phone, email and webchat
