Which mocks do sixth forms actually look at?

I'm so confused. Some teachers at my school are saying that we must do well this year in our year 10 mocks and treat it like the real thing, whereas other teachers are saying that it's not that deep and the mocks in year 11 are more important and will be sent off to your sixth form. Which is it? Can someone give me the right answer?
year 11
year 11 but remember you should be aiming to do as best as you can in each mock to see where u need to improve on x

It will usually be a holistic assessment based on everything (year 10 mocks, year 11 mocks and how you do in class). From my experience, some teachers (mainly those teaching "practical" subjects like music and tech) treat the year 10 mocks as a way to get used to the exam and don't care at all how you do.

Your teachers will not just blindly send your mock grade off as your predicted grade. But it still pays to revise properly because you need to figure out what methods work best for you.
Hello!
Your Year 10 Mocks should cover all paper 1 content for most of your subjects. Therefore, doing well on them will consequentially affect your revision for Y11 Mocks, which build on all the Year 10 Mock content with the added extra. Acknowledging this, do best in your Year 10 Mocks as even if they may be futile, in a crude manner, when applying for the Sixth form, they'll indirectly supplment your Y11 predictions as they affect your performance on the mocks they're based on.
If you have any more questions, please do reply!

They usually use these mocks to make your predicted grades, for some schools they use your previous assessments to get a better accuracy for example if you were getting 5s all year for maths and suddenly got a 9 in mocks they may decrease your predicted grade due to that. But obviously your mocks are the main deciding factor to give you your predicted grades which will be used by sixth forms to give you conditional offers.
main thing is you that you do well in the real thing that's all that matters
