SE Asia - Rucksack Brands & Air Travel Advice

Hey guys,

I'm new here and thought of writing my first discussion on some help I require from some experienced individuals like yourselves.

My partner and I are planning a trip to South East Asia, most probably Indonesia (but this is still to be confirmed) in the months of September / October. Having travelled through Europe last year (Interrail) with trains and carrying two rather large luggages each, we decided that we are definitely not doing the same mistake again! It was our first time so bear with us!

Thus, we are planning to travel to SE Asia with a rucksack, those ones that are used for camping (even though we are not planning any camping or trekking). Would anyone of you be able to give me more info into which brand would be ideal for a small-sized female and medium-sized male? We are eyeing Berghaus or even maybe North Face, though I am unsure which would be better or would last us longer! Your comments and feedback would be highly appreciated!
