    Hi all,

Does anyone have any predictions for the upcoming paper?

I think it’s going to follow the same pattern as the past papers
    Halide tests
    Organic chemistry practicals
And probably iodine thiosulphate titration calculation question. (??)

    - There would be a flame test as always and something about halides or organic for que 1 and 2.
    - Then the usual enthalpy change of combustion que where we have to find the energy and the mol and finally find the enthalpy change.
    - Also there might be a graph though not every past paper has one. If there is I think it'll be a best fit line one or a graph where we have to find the temperature change.
    - A titration calculation part, where we r supposed to find the mean, no. of Mol's, concentration or volume and sometimes percentage uncertainty of burette or pipette. And some writing parts too.
    - Next a reaction of halogenoalkanes or either primary or secondary alcohols with potassium dichromate and sulfuric acid.
A percentage yield or atom economy que will be there I guess ( mostly % yield)
All the past papers had been like this so hope this time it'll be like that too....

You seem to be very confident. And also why do I feel like you have seen and done the paper.

knowing edexcel, they fool us into making us think there's is a repeated pattern and then POOF, a pattern from pluto

Have you seen the 2018 january paper apparently your not allowed to draw a line that isnt horizontal or vertical it has to be straight up vertical

okay my teacher answered it for me and told me that apparently from the last point i have to make a vertical line upwards and then extrapolate the other line to the back and then for 3 minutes you have to see where they intersect.
