What does the title mean? It was on a mark scheme for a question but I don't even understand what it means. Thanks in advance,

I think it means: 'You need protein in your diet. But you don't have to produce meat for protein, with all the issues such as animal suffering and environmental consequences. There are plants that contain protein, so we should eat that and save all the trouble that comes with meat.

Hi, I think the term harvested is used in a broader almost metaphoric sense. It does depend on the Q and which part(s) of the syllabus it is testing [which will in turn depend on the phrasing and context of the Q], but I would predict it is to do with the production of protein on a commercial scale using genetic engineering e.g. the use of splicing to introduce an insulin gene into the plasmid of a bacterium after cleaving it with a restriction endonuclease, then "cultivating" a massive population of identical bacteria to manufacture insulin.

It was actually a genetic engineering questions, thanks ever so much for your detailed answer!
