Whyyyyy?!
Eating the flesh of a plant is not morally justified because it is a living organism.

eating the fruits of a plant is justified, since fruits are produced by plants with the goal to be eaten by animals, so the seeds can be spread and conveniently pre-fertilized by the animals (including humans) once they’re digested and excreted.

Not sentient.
Even when it goes against their own principle of not eating a living organism. 😂

Because plants don’t have a central nervous system therefore they don’t feel pain and reason we don’t eat animals is because killing them inflicts pain...

There is nothing more disturbing than the painful death screams of a carrot as an uncaring vegetarian slowly devours it.

Not sentient.
Vegetarians openly decry the slaughter of animals but they think nothing of tearing carrots and spuds out of the earth or of sticking a zucchini into a high-speed blender.

Like it or not, plants are also living organisms that respond to stimuli like light, gravity and touch.

https://science.howstuffworks.com/li...-feel-pain.htm

....According to researchers at the Institute for Applied Physics at the University of Bonn in Germany, plants release gases that are the equivalent of crying out in pain.
