Indeed I am going there. Your list is missing the_Shade and David_Brent, who are both going, but they don't post much on here. I'll be there from the 4th onwards, but I already spent a fair amount of time there doing maths interviews (4 days). It's great. Just go and see the quad for yourself and you won't have a problem with choosing a college. To build on Baz's point, if you open the map of Oxford, then look for the central crease and be sure to find Balliol there. The location is pretty amazing. When are you planning to apply and for what? pm me if you want to know something.

It also had a famous tortoise - Rosa Luxemborg - which was university champion...but I think it was stolen, believe it or not. And some rather famous people went there, including hilariously-coiffured MP Boris Johnson. Add that to what other people have mentioned, location, scenic-ness, academically one of the best in Oxford and you have plenty of reasons to apply there

I'm applying at the moment for 2005 entry for English and Modern Lnaguages [French]. This is actually going to be my second time applying. I applied to Oxford last year [different college] with no success. I was taking a Gap Year andway, so I thought what the heck. I'll apply again! Plus, I was rejected by four out of my six choices last year anyway...

Better luck this year I hope. What are you doing?
