When do I need to check my blindspots on my driving test?
My instructor has only ever told me to check them when I am pulling out from parked, doing a reversing manoeuvre and after an emergency stop. However, lots of videos I have watched told me that I should check them much more frequently e.g. when changing lanes and turning.
When should I check them!!!

You definitely need to check it when you are changing lanes. Your blind spot is over your right shoulder so anytime you should be aware of someone being there - check it. This can be cars or motorbikes

If two lanes are merging always be aware of someone merging in to you vise versa (assume everyone is an idiot). When you are changing over to the right lane it is especially important as you can drive in to someone.

Good luck for tomorrow
