What is the grading/marking system in ial/alvl???

hello im just starting my alvls and im completely new here..for starters the grading system seems a bit different than in olvls... can you pls tell me what exactly are the grading systems for subjects like as physics, as chemistry... it's apparently divided into as and a2...how many marks do i need to get on each units 1,2 and 3 to atleast get an a grade...or if i ger a bgrade can i still recover if i do well in a2???pls kindly clarify the whole thing...the university i want to admit for accepts atleast a grade results so i really need to know these...can someone pls kindly explain to me... and pls kindly explain in simple terms (lol)...help is highly appreciated
