Communal Showers

Hello all, interesting query for you all. My boyfriend recently played football with some guys at work but afterwards some of them went in this communal shower in the changing room. He decided not to as he's quite embarassed about his body even though I tell him I think it's lovely and he has nothing to worry about.

So the question is...how many of us would be brave enough to use communal showers? If you go in people will surely only scrutinise you, and if not they'll assume you have something to hide. I'm just interested in people's views on this.
Thanks!

If you've got nothing to hide they make for some good banter.

When in Rome?

If everyone is naked they will be too concerned about their own flobby bits to worry about yours

I don't think it'd bother me particularly, as you're all in the same position. If people are gonna scrutinise you they're leaving it open for you to scrutinise them...
I dont know how people use them:afraid:... we have shower cubicles at school but noone ever uses them apart from privacy in changing. People seeing you naked aaa :afraid:

im just fat!
I cant think of anything worse to be honest, why a bunch of people would want to stand around naked together in a shower is beyond me :s-smilie:

Id never do it, id rather go home stinking, sweaty and covered in mud.
I have used them in the past but only when I've had no choice. I go the gym quite regularly and I never shower there as I don't fancy getting jiggy with a bunch of other men but to be fair I tend to go the gym on a night so it doesn't really matter how sweaty I am or how bad I smell.
In the gym after being in the pool ill go in naked, but everyone seems to. Usually people just stand with their face looking at the wall, so people can only see behind.

Nothing to worry about though, noone ever looks, although two of my mates started throwing soap at each other :s-smilie:

Also, there was a guy who was shaving all the hair off his body, putting his leg up against the wall to reach down below. He obviously didn't have any insecurities lol

LMAO! How did you manage to not throw up?
I personally never have and I doubt I would, I'm not comfortable enough to be honest.

I remember being pretty horrified whenever I'd go swimming with a friend and we'd just see middle-aged blokes walking in there totally naked without any care. We were just like "WTF?" and cracking up at it.

But meh, I've never been to the gym and haven't gone swimming in years (with no plans to change either) so I don't really have the... "opportunity" to. Not that I would if I could, anyway...
I don't really see the problem - I use them at the gym all the time, and used to at school in PE. Sure, you're naked, but so is everyone else, and it's not like people study each others bodies and say "look at that fat guy", or "look at his willy"...
exactly what have you got to hide? it's more strange not to.

nota bene
it's not like people study each others bodies and say "look at that fat guy", or "look at his willy"...

Really?
To be fair, we were like 10, lol.
I never do at least, and I've never heard anyone comment about it. Sure you may notice things, but it's not like you think less of a person because he has a large birthmark on his stomach or whatever.

I don't see what is the great fear of communal showers, although I understand are insecure about their bodies, but there's really no need to worry IMO.
