studying classics without prior knowledge

how do i properly prepare myself to study classics at uni when ive never studied it before at school. and is it alright if i have a lot more knowledge on the greeks than the romans? do i need to know a lot of myths/history or is it alright to focus on the literature???

How come you chose it for degree?

Just read some books and watch some films.

If you pick the right level of book then you can get through an overview.

Greek History.
Roman History
Literature.
Social History.

Get an A level classics book.
