specific and non specific defences?

I need to compare specific and non specific defence mechanisms in terms of the specificity and speed of their response to the infection but I can't
find much about it. The main thing I found out is that specific is to do
with white blood cells and non specific is to do with the physical barriers
like the skin. Could someone give me some more similarities/differences?
