Experiment system understanding

Hi,
Can someone help me understand whats going on in this system?
The current in the coil makes magnetic field, the magnetic field from the coil and the magnet itself generates a force on the magnet that vibrate in the AC frequency , and the vibrating force on the magnet makes the beam vibrate as well?
I having hard time to understand why there is a force on the magnet, because his displacement is in the same direction as the magnetic field and therefore its UXB=0.
