So I got a phone call off the gp today telling me I’m being referred for scans because of my amenorrhea (no periods) which I have had for over a year. I’ve had external ultrasounds when I was younger (for something else) But I have never had an internal/transvaginal ultrasound!
II’ve never even used a tampon or had a smear (I’m 16) so I’m terrified

Have any of you ever had one?
Do they hurt?
How do you get over the embarrassment?

I've had them done and ngl it hurt for me and I wasn't a virgin. But the staff should be really respectful and polite to you. Just explain to them the situation
