Also what is numeracy?

Good luck!

I'll be doing 4 A levels next year so I thought it'd be better if I got my first and second language out of the way
Numeracy is Mathematics in real life contexts, if you're interested, WJEC has some past papers in their website. (I'm in Wales by the way)

Numeracy is Maths in real life contexts, I'd recommend looking at it on WJEC website.

Nice! Which ones will you do?

Good for you, that's a lot of GCSE's! My school doesn't offer that much.

I'm in year 10, and I'm doing/my expected grades are-

Maths-8/9
Additional Maths-Starts in Year 11, exam is optional
Physics-8/9
Biology-8
Chemistry-8
English Lang-7
English Lit-7
French-6
Geography-8/9
History-8/9

8/9 Is because my school don't predict level 9's, just 8+(which basically means they expect a high 8 or 9)

I considered doing Maths & Physics A level early, but that would be to much pressure for me doing them alongside GCSE.

Good for you that your doing A level subjects, and languages especially(I'm bad at languages)! Keep up the good work.

Additional maths covers the basics of Mathematics at AS level, it's quite interesting!
Good options by the way, unfortunately I couldn't do triple science at GCSE (long story) but I'll do the 3 sciences and maths at A level

In fact, my school doesn't offer Portuguese and Spanish, I speak both fluently so I was allowed to sit them early.
My school provides 10-11 options.
Good luck with your exams!

ah okay! good thinking

no offence, but I've just looked through one of the past papers on the WJEC website, and it seems super easy - i could answer all of the within about 30 seconds of reading the question - i wish we did a numeracy GCSE!

Good options, OCR maths is really interesting, personally I prefer OCR but unfortunately WJEC has a monopoly in wales :/

yup - harder exams, new spec, no past papers, teachers know as much as the students do etc.
and it's a perfectionists nightmare (aka mine) - It only goes up to 9! So if i get a 7 or 8 (A or A*) i still get really annoyed because i inadvertently compare my score out of 10, making myself think that i got a much lower grade

thank you -It is so cool you get to learn about perception, whether our dreams are meaningful or not , whether criminality is based on biological factors or from the environment, aggression and phobias. I am doing well as I'm receiving A*- just need to make sure i get this grade in the summer.
