why do we need to know so many hard word in English lit? i feel like its really pointless SO WHY NOT USE SIMPLE EASY WORD?

Harder words can be more specific and accurate.

Dont use a difficult word if a simple one will do, but use the more difficult one if it is appropriate. It will also get you extra marks if you can understand what they want and use the correct vocabulary at the same time.
