When you say your father lives abroad and is separated from your mother, what's the end date considering he lives abroad permanently?

If he's been gone for longer than 2 years without coming back for a single week then i'm pretty sure it means he's living abroad permanently.

It says you have set an end date for how long they've lived abroad, which makes no sense considering he's not coming back and I don't what to put down since it won't let me save and continue without adding an end date

So, I should put down 2020 as the end date of him living abroad, even though he isn't ever coming back?

If you already know he isn't coming back then ofc he's permanently living abroad

I know that, but student finance want an end date for him living abroad and I don't know what date to put down. What date should I put down?

Hi jh61,

If you are still under 25 years old and your parents are separated and you would normally live with your mum, then we would not need any details about your father.

You would only provide evidence of the parent that you would normally live with and evidence of their marital status.

Regards Rona
