Can't go wrong with Canon 200D or Nikon D5600. For landscapes, you need what's called wide-angle lenses, whereas for street photography and "portraits" (people, really), standard 50mm or 35mm lenses will be just fine. Get a starter 18-55mm kit. It's not the best you can do but you can get separate lenses as you learn about shutter speed, aperture, etc.

Get a book on basic photography and you will learn these things in no time. And get moving ofc :P.
Thank you and I definitely will have a look into that!😊😊

Love drawing and photography, I am looking to buy a proper camera soon, anyone have any recommendations?
Hiya,

I started off with a Canon 100D, with its 18-55mm kit lens, and eventually invested in a 70-300mm. I will probably upgrade soon, but it is an amazing camera, which I found was really easy to get along with as my first DSLR after using Bridge cameras for some years.

I'd recommend searching around for the best deal that you can get, rather than buying body and lenses separately, as a lot of places will do deals with lenses, bags, memory cards, etc. Argos usually have some pretty good deals, as well as PC World and shops like that.

Hope that helps!

Hi!
I love drawing traditionally (mostly using markers) and I've drawn digitally for a bit! I'm hoping to buy a tablet monitor display to develop my digital art skills cuz looking at the screen on my pc whilst drawing is a bit uncomfortable for me. I've done Art for GCSE this year and I'm hoing to be doing my A2 Art this summer!

I love painting and music. But I consider myself to be an Amateur among many others who are way better than me in painting. I use Acrylics to paint. Watercolours are not under my league.

I paint during the weekends, or when I have time for it. Usually, Saturdays are a 'No-Book' Day. So I give space for art instead of academics. I complete my academic work on Sundays instead.

this is a recent painting i did. I call it 'The Willow Tree'. I messed up the moon. smh

I love art! I'm a chemistry student but do photography (film and digital), draw and paint in my free time. My main disciplines are fineliner drawings and watercolour painting but I do like other mediums. I go to a lot of art exhibitions and my family rent a studio for my brother (he's an art scholar) which I use from time to time. I'm also really interested in comic book art and have read a lot of books about composition.
Here's a few examples of different things I've done:

I'm curious to see how many TSR users are artists .
If you are, how do you balance making art along with academic endeavours? I had to kinda abandon drawing n stuff; maybe I could have balanced life better lol .

BONUS: If you'd like, post a pic of your art in this thread! I'd love to see what you've created.
I like the theme of this thread...
I just started a blog kinda thing, you guys could probs check that out!

That's so cool!
I don't really know what to call my artwork 😂, it's a mixture of both mosaic and pixelating. This piece is made of 5000 pushpin and 3 months of work.
