Is international work experience valued?

I have around 2 years of international work experience. Is this something that could be seen as valuable by potential employers?

Valued, yes. Something that's going to be a massive advantage and will have people wanting to compromise on more 'central' skills to the role... more often than not, not really. It is more of a nice to have rather than a need to have or a strong differenciator.

How do I know ? Lots of international experience, and not once has my international background tilted the scale in my favour.

Disagree with the above. I worked in Germany for 14 months (work placement during third year of my degree), and employers are always impressed by this.
