I walked out of that cinema so happy, it might not have been as good as the first one in critics' eyes but it certainly had a lot of heart. The acting was brilliant and while some of the jokes did seem a little forced, there was still more than enough humour to carry the whole film forward.

Correct, Juggernaut was played by Vinny Jones in the older trilogy. Deadpool sorta plays fast and loose with the movie canon, for example the main series still had Colossus in them up until Days of Future Past and could still technically return in future films. They just use the bits that make amusing references and change the bits they want to to, because they don't have to take it seriously.
