Dissertation Stress!

So I am about to start my third and final year at university and of course this means the dreaded dissertation!! I have no clue of what I want mine to be about, I’m stressing out!! Everybody on my course knows what they want to do and I don’t. I’m studying Performing Arts so anything performance based really, I love musical theatre so a link there maybe?? Music and Drama are my best topics but I wondered if anyone can give me any help? I’m so stressed I just need inspiration!

Having studied a music degree, I looked at the link between authenticity in Jukebox Musicals and the commercial success of the musical. However, I chose this topic a month before the deadline after spending 12 months researching something completely different topic. So at this point, don't worry too much about it - just start reading around the recent literature about musical theatre and see if you can see a gap that you could study into.
