2 Exams at the same time?

I have my Chemistry P1 and my Geography paper on the same day and the same time. I know usually you give one paper, they give you a small break and then you give your next paper.

My question is should I have or should I contact and inform them? Or should I just go on the day of my paper and things will work out?

You should contact them. It'll be one less thing for you to worry about on the day.
Go see your school's exams officer. They'll probably put in place a plan to have you sit both exams in the same room (you'll probably get the chance to choose which one you do first). You'll do the first paper and then have a break wherein I believe you could do some extra revision, but if you want to go anywhere (ergo leave the room) to go to the canteen for example, the invigilator in your room will have to follow you everywhere. I'm not sure, but I think if you don't have an exam in the afternoon you may have the opportunity to sit your second paper then, and not after a break after your first.
Make sure you get a break or say you need the toilet or you need to get some air is you feel unwell.

That way you can clear your head of the first subject.

I have had a clash like this before, it was because of a GCSE DT exam in 2008, all that happened was you sat one exam and then you were escorted to the next exam by examiners (so you couldn't talk to anyone). Then you sat that exam.

Clashes occur when you pick subjects that are not a common combination, like doing Art A Level and Maths A Level.
You should just be put in isolation, in a private room with an examiner. If you have your exam timetable your school should have told you how it’ll work by now, so if you don’t know already you should definitely contact the examination officer

Most schools send out final timetables which show how the clash has been resolved - are you sure you haven't had one of these?
There are 2 options:

1.

If the total length of exams is 3 hours or less then you will sit them one after the other with a short break under exam conditions between them - no talking, no revising, normally just the chance to go to the toilet.

2.

If the total exam length is more than 3 hours then one can be moved to the other session in the day and you will be kept in isolation and allowed to revise/rest between exams.

Check with your school's exams officer as to what is happening for you.

Thanks, I talked to my exams officer and the issue has been resolved.

I know somebody who has so many clashes in a day he gets to go home and take one of them the next day, he’s been instructed that he can’t go near any technology but there isn’t much stopping him from doing so...
