A Physican Associates degree; currently there is one undergraduate degree in this area (that I'm aware of - the MPAS at UCLan) and the majority are two year masters degrees (from various providers), requiring a background in life/biomedical sciences generally (there are a great number of courses that are probably appropriate for this).
