Please Help: Cranfield/ Strathclyde/ Exeter/ LancasterWatch
I am an international student from Asia and will study in UK for 2018/19 class. I currently hold 2 offers from Strathclyde and Cranfield. Please help me decide which school should I choose to have a chance to start a career in investment banking and kindly provide the reasons.
*Strathclyde: MSc Investment and Finance
*Cranfield: MSc Investment Management
Also, I am still waiting the offers from Exeter and Lancaster. The courses I applied are MSc Finance and Investment, and MSc Finance respectively. If luckily I get the offers from both of them, which school should I then choose?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Need more help on going postgrad?
I hope you are well.
I have contacted some current MSc Investment Management students at Cranfield University, who should help you with an insight into their programme. At the moment, they are very busy, but they will come back with a response.
I am also gathering responses myself (I am doing a PhD at Cranfield but with a different School) and will give you these when done.
All the best,
Cranfield TSR Rep.
However, study at cranfield is intens. They will offer you 14 modules comparing with other with only around 8 modules. You dont have much free time at 1-2 semisters. Regarding FT salaries of Cranfiled alumni is even better than Cass with higher employmenr rate at 100%.
Lancaster is also great school for Finance as ranking high in FT. The course is great but it is remoted area.
Strathclyde is decent school. However, last 2-3 years the school is significantly drop in ranking.
Exerter is not school which you should consider if you got others three offer from Cranfield ,lancaster and strathclyde.
I would choose btw Cranfield and lancaster but salary, cohort and almost school ranking Cranfield is better. However, the fee at lancaster is cheaper than Cranfield.
