What makes a good society committee manifesto?

I want to run for a committee position for one of the socities at my uni. We have to write a manifesto. So I was wondering generally what makes a good manifesto?

-Why YOU want to be on the committee: what are your reasons for wanting to join?
-Why the COMMITTEE wants you: what makes you so special? Why should they elect you over someone else? Put in why you're suited to the position; any other previous experience of similar roles will be useful.
-What you will do in your role as committee member?

Approach it as you would a CV. Professionalism gives a good impression.

first of all can someone please tell me what a committee is? I have to have an answer before thursday because I am going to read my manifesto out to my class because I am only 10 years old

What kind of society, and what position? The answers vary massively.
