You being born in 1989 (i presume) - i am guessing you havent had much experience of working in an office?
Depending on what you do you can get al lsorts of requests by email that take forever to sort out...
its not majorly bad at my workplace - but we do get tons of really long emails that were are meant to read..but i tend not to bother!
i notice a lot of forwarding goes on tho - a manager forwards it to another manager, who forwars it to a team leader, who ofrwards it onto us... i hate to see how much emaisl the managers get - they must literally be getting tosn of emaisl a day.
