When we first sent our business coursework (business plan for the entrepeneur off) our teacher had marked us all at A's and B's. This teacher is a very senior teacher, head of humanities and has been teaching at our school for 40 years and is retiring next year, and has had a accredation for marking for the last couple of years. Anyway when we all got our results this morning, it says we all got E's and D's? I personally got marked down from a B to an E. There are no exceptions in the class, we were all marked down dramatically.
Anyone know what to do about it or what might have happened? :/

Oh and also, he was explaining to a fellow teacher in our lesson the day before that he is 'extremely confident in his marking' and 'is more looking forward to seeing the exam results'.

Surely your teacher would know what to do.

Obviously get a remark, but the school can take action as a class (ie get them all sent off) if they feel there was something fundamentally wrong.

We went to the teacher at break and was like wtf happened.
He looked all panicky and said I dont know I dont know, and told us that they get a report next week explaining the result or something and then walked off.
    Hardly filled me with confidence.

I guess I'll quiz my year head on re-marking on Monday. :/

I remember a few years ago there was outrage at our school because everyone ended up with Ds and Es despite being predicted As and the school complained to the Exam Board, got them all remarked (for free) and something like 85% of the class ended up with As.

That was in English, but it just shows that it can and does happen.

That's strange, our teacher was shocked yesterday to see no one in our year got below a B in business. I'm pretty sure a lot of people were over marked!

Hmm, so it definately does happen then.
I really hope something went dreadfully wrong in the marking or moderation because I'm panicking about uni now :/
