Bully her into letting you do it >=). Only joking, ask the exam board about it if need be, but first talk to the head of year, the Examination's Officer, and the headteacher. That's all my advice.

youre retaking S1 for the second time?? Maybe you just can't get a good grade in it.
first time round i didn't revise well for it
second time round i didn't either
it's completely my fault for getting the rubbish grades in it
but there's all gcse stuff in S1
and so there's no reason why i can't get a decent A in it
i'm not underestimating it, i know how much work i have to put in...it's just a shame i realised it too late:rolleyes:

i cannot believe teachers actually do this, its evil. Its your life, your money, your grades. If you want to resit she should let you. At my school, no questions areasked, if the teacher knows what grades you want then they let you. Hell, im resitting my B's in Chemistry as i want an A. Im resitting my resits again!!!!!

I say talk to her, explain how if she doesnt let you, you may do crap and this will scupper your chances of uni...then if she STILL says no, go to head of that subject and so on. I really cant believe this. why do tteachers pretend they know whats best for you

i can't belive i'll have an E on my certificate for the module
guess i should have thought back then
anywho....i'm definately re-doing the S1
Personally, I would only retake the C3 seeing as you have already once retaken the S1 and ended up with the same grade...

All the best anyway =o)

Go to the exams officer and quietly enter yourself for them anyway. If it fails, talk upwards...

Exactly, this will work.

Someone in our school was not entered by the teacher, he went down all on his own, pulled out £40 and entered himself, legend.

LOL why do you need permission from your school to sit an exam externally? When i was going to book an external one they didnt ask anything about permission

Put it in writing that you want to do the 2 re-sits and copy in the chair of governors - then something will / should get done!

When someone asks a fee of around £200 just for a few bob exams, they probably wont ask anything.

Yep, they may be useless but having something in writing means they have to do something about it and the easiest thing will be to let a student do the re-sits!

yeah they have

they don't want any resits ouside the two years
but within the two years it's fine
plus because i'm taking a gap year, they won't see that i've done any resits
