My chances of getting an oxford interview?

Im currently in year 12 taking my AS this week

simple question really what are my chances of getting an interview at oxford?

GCSES - 3A*,5A,2B,C,D (8 in maths 7 in eng lit and 5 in langauge)
As hoping for a B in physics
A level predicted *most probably* - A* economics, A* Biology and an A in maths

Applying to do economics

Probably fairly high if your personal statement is good. They do interview a high proportion of candidates.
those GCSE's will hod you back in Oxford Cambridge would be a better bet.

I would go for it, but you might struggle. I'm pretty sure E&M is the hardest course to get on - only 25% are interviewed, and only 7% get places.

Do you realise that Oxford don't offer a straight Economics course?

They shortlist about 40% of UK applicants.

GCSEs and the TSA are important for shortlisting. I think you will need an excellent TSA to make up for somewhat below average GCSEs

It's an *extremely* competitive course...

Nope. The PS is given a "low" weighting:

Overall they interview about 25%, but about 40% of UK applicants.
