So in theory i’ve realised i want to pursue A level english lit as i would want to study english or english and history at uni. ive nearly finished my A1 year, doing my a levels in bio chem and history ( i originally wanted to pursue medicine but realised it wasn’t for me). I’m thinking, is it possible for my to take a level english lit as a private candidate and then do the course in one year instead of two so i don’t need to take a gap year to finish the course? hopefully if i can do this i can drop one of the sciences, i know it’ll be a lot of work but i did achieve two 9’s in GCSE english lang and lit so i know it’s potentially do able for me to get an A/A*. Sorry for the rant!

Yes as long as your school allows you to drop a subject. It might not like it.

You can either teach yourself or do a correspondence course.

You could make a good step towards catching up by studying over the summer.

    Example
