Hi,

Basically for the English literature exam I'm taking, the Othello part is not open book so have been told by my teacher to learning atleast 3 key scenes. But been struggling like mad to work out key scenes (expect the ending death scene).

Also havn't seen my teacher for 3 weeks due to they are off, so haven't got anyone to ask for help with that at school.

So was just wondering if anyone has any advice on learning the Othello text.

Thanks

The first document is kind of a detailed timeline.

The beginning is significant for scene setting and introducing characters

The end is a natural unstoppable consequence of events set in motion.
Othello realising his mistake.

The key scenes I would look at are.

Othello setting out his understanding of the world.

Iago setting out his.

Iago plotting and influencing otherllo

Othello succumbing to jealousy

Desdemona failing to deal with the situation.

It is helpul if you understand how these work.
