Hi all,

I was just wondering for the AQA English Literature GCSE (9-1), how many specimen papers (for both paper 1 and 2), have there been and what were the questions for them?

I'm doing Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Lord of the Flies and power and conflict poetry.

This would allow me to practice writing essays set by AQA and potentially rule out characters/themes that have already come up.

Cheers in advance.

For A Christmas Carol, the specimen question was:
Explore how far Dickens presents Christmas as a joyful time.
The extract was from Stave 2 when Scrooge is overlooking Fezziwig.

Romeo and Juliet:
How does Shakespeare present Romeo's attitudes to love?
And the extract is from Act 2, Scene 2.

Lord Of The Flies was either:
How far does Golding present Jack as responsible for what happens to the boys on the island?
OR
'In Lord Of The Flies, Golding presents a depressing view of human society' How far do you agree with this view of the novel.

Power And Conflict Poetry
Poem - Poppies
Question -Compare how poets present the effects of conflict on people in Poppies and in one other poem from power and conflict.
