I'm in the middle of filling out an application form. Do you just apply as a general assistant, then get put in the back, on tills, at collection, etc, or are you supposed to have a specific role in mind when you apply?
Just apply as a "Team Member".
They'll train you for whatever particular staff they need.
I was trained as a picker first, ie, colllecting the items. Then I was trained as a collection guy... ie... bagging the items, then I was trained on the till...
When I applied I just put in general assitant, and then at the interview they had a coveted few positions working out the back in the warehouse which everyone was desperate for. So yeah, just go with general assitant and then you can discuss it further at interview.
I work at Argos. Apply to be a general assistant and then they train you. It's good because there's lots of variety.
