student finance application

wondering if you could help. when I was applying for student finance online on gov.uk I accidentally put the wrong year of my birthdate down and when I realised, it was too late to go back to the page and change it. so I was just wondering if you would know how to rectify this.

Hi meganelise7,

If you have made a mistake on your date of birth on the application, you cannot change it online.

Just explain in a letter, enclosing a clear photocopy of your birth certificate or passport with your name and customer reference number, asking us to update it.

If you have already supplied this evidence then just ask us in the letter to update the date of birth as per identity evidence already supplied.
