did you not find the biology paper quite hard? the questions about creating lungs etc? If you did find this easy could u put extract stem cells from bone marrow and then differentiate them into lung cells?

Haven't found any of them ridiculously hard yet, but honestly that doesn't mean I've not done awful. Feel like the biology was significantly easier than the specimen, and I'd revised quite a bit, so didn't find it too horrendous. Probably missed out half the marks from not putting the words they wanted though

what did u talk about the creating lungs question?
And they don't really ask for specific subject vocab unless it is specifically wants it. In the mark schemes there is normally a (accept this)

Oh the one about rejection? I wrote about therapeutic cloning and using adult stem cells, but adult stem cells are difficult as they differentiate into less things

it is extremely difficult to predict the grad boundaries because no-one knows what they are because it is the first year. Also you can't just predict them lower or higher because you personally or a couple of other people found them easy/hard.

it is better to be more realistic with yourself and realize that getting a 9 will be difficult, its top 2% of country, so don't expect one.

Yeah, same here, but I feel like biology mark scheme is so specific that even though it was easier everyones marks will be lower. Like, even though we actually knew what we going on, we probably didn't use the specific wording the want

I agree with the higher grades, but the lower ones will not be this high. 4 - 24%
5 - 30%
6 - 42%

Really? 30% is only like 30/100 on each paper..... Actually, that is 60/200, so you're probably closer for a 5

I'm talking about Triple Higher on AQA. The chemistry paper was apparently really hard for alot of people making me think the grade boundaries will be low as heck, and it's a new spec so they will want you to answer questions differently, resulting in people not getting the marks they should be.

Our teacher also said a B would be 36% but i think that's abit too low.

English literature: 88%
Maths: 79%

These are the grade boundaries last year for a grade 9, so I'd say a 9 will be around the 70-80%'s
