Please keep anon as girlfriend is on student room.

So I was at my girlfriend's house earlier. While she was out the room I was just looking around and I saw some magazines under her bed. I took them out out of curiosity and they were these men's weekly magazines. I looked inside to see what was there and it was basically just a lot of pictures of nude women, no men. I'm not really sure what to make of this..

Wouldn't worry about it. Women often get off to porn that is aimed at men, simply because most porn is aimed at men and they don't have much choice in the matter.

Surely she will know who she is/you are if she read this anyway thus rendering the Anon. function redundant lol... anyway though, if you are that bothered ask her about it, but it's probably just curiosity. I love reading girls mags (for 5 minutes anyway lol)

As far as I can see, there would be 3 possible explanations:
A) She bought them for you (yay!)
B) She bought them for some other guy (begs the question, why?)
C) She bought them for herself (umm, yay?)

Your best bet would be to ask her about them.

Are you asking this in a - Could my girlfriend be gay? aspect or just Why Does my girlfriend like these magazines?
Its extremely common that females do watch or read this kind of stuff it could be either because, Hell we like to compare ourselves to other women - im always like 'Hmm so thats what she looks like' or else maybe she does enjoy them - which isnt the worse thing, Its extremely common that heterosexual women enjoy female porn nowadays, doesnt mean anything :smile:

(For example BBC3 ran a documentary the other week about a straight woman and they hooked her up to this electroimpulses reader and showed her different types of pron - strangely enough she had higher responses for females!)

What kind of magazines are we talking? Like porn, or things like Nuts or FHM?
If were talking the latter I wouldnt worry, Id rather read them than all that crap like Hello, or Ok. Theres much more interesting stuff in mens mags than womens ones most of which are full of rubbish about cellulite or how to bag the perfect guy :rolleyes:

I sometimes look at porn aimed at men too - mainly because there really isn't much of an alternative for women. I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt she's a lesbian just because she has some male aimed porn.

There isn't really any porn aimed at women. So we watch the same porn as guys, but sadly the men are usually picked for the size of their penis, not for the way they look (because lets be honest, you don't want to watch a 50 year old wrinkly minging woman in your porn, so why should we want to watch a bloke like that?!). So mainly, when I watch it, I watch the woman and imagine the things being done to me (as opposed to me doing the things to the woman if I were a man!).

It doesn't mean she's a lesbian anyway, if that's what you're worrying about. If it really concerns you, next time you're round, nudge them with your toe so that they're clearly visible. Then while you're both sitting talking or something, look down and pretend to see them, then point and be like "oh my gosh! You kinky thing, whatchoo got them for?!" in a friendly/joking fashion, so that she can explain it without feeling accused for having urges! :smile:

my best friend (who is a girl) asked me to give her some porn that contained mostly women(she can't download any herself or buy any because her parents give her very little privacy on the internet etc. and she can't do anything about the really)

Any she said she likes to compare with the other girls. She tells me who she thought was hot and who was just a trashy whore. A little strange but she is def not gay lol.

Don't worry about it too much man, it's pretty normal I think, girls like to 'explore' more than men - imo coz most men arent confident with there sexuality whilst women will kiss other women, might even watch some girl-on-girl actione even lol.

Women tend to be aroused a lot more by the idea of things, rather than the visual stimulus. That's why they tend to picture themselves as the woman in porn.

When it comes to lad's mags though, it's an element of comparison, but well.. hmm. I kinda get a bit turned on when I'm looking a lingerie online etc (on girls, obviously - just on its own you don't get the same image formed), because I think of myself wearing it and the situation etc etc... similar kinda thing I expect.

I always watch lesbian porn and look at mags aimed at men. I am straight, but personally i find porn for women a bit tacky and do not find the men attractive.
And tbh, i don't see why you're complaining... you could borrow it :biggrin:
