Foot tattoo

So I am going to book my first tattoo tomorrow and it’s going to be on the top of my foot as I’m getting a mandala pattern. Was just wondering what the pain is like when you get a foot tattoo? And how long the healing process usually is
I've heard that feet are meant to be one of the most painful areas to have tattooed. I've only had work done on my shoulder blade and arms so can't say exactly.

Within 2-3 weeks the surface layers of the skin should be healed. It can take months to fully heal up but you probably won't notice this. The pain doesn't last more than a few days - it's the itching that is agony. Invest in some ametop: it's a numbing gel that you keep refrigerated. It's cheap and your local Boots should be able to order it in for you. :smile:
I have my foot and ankle done. The foot hurt a lot more and was horrendous pain! In terms of healing, same as any other tattoo.
