Oxford Classics after resitting?

Hello,

As you may have guessed from the title, I am planning on applying to study Classics this September with Oxford being my first choice. The problem is, this is the second time i have gone through year twelve, achieving BDEE the first time and A*AA this second time (which will also be my predicted grades).
All of my current A levels are non-classical subjects (History, English Lit, RS) but I am planning on doing my coursework and EPQ on classical topics. I also achieved a D in Classical Civ. last year -which I hope won't count against me?

I also do a bit of extra-curricular stuff for my own interest; I've read a number of classical works (Homer, Virgil, Sophocles, Euripides, Plato, Aristotle) as well as subscribing to an ancient history magasine. On top of that I went to the Oxbridge Classics Conference earlier this year and I am attending a DebateChamber summer school on Classics.

I'm slightly weaker on the languages side of things as all I have is an A in French GCSE, does this matter for any courses where languages aren't required?

So what I'm asking is do I stand a chance with Oxford, and by extension, any other Classics courses (I'm also thinking of applying to Durham, Bristol, and Kent as my safe option)?

Talk to the college beforehand and run it past them.
Were there reasons for BDEE health or personal ones?

People do reapply. they might wnat slightly higher grades to take into account resits.

I'll see what they say -my sixth form UCAS coordinator said its fine but I wasn't completely sure.

I mainly just went off the rails a bit. Could have been a mental health issue undiagnosed but it's behind me now really and i don't really excuse it. It's more of a learning curve that I've bounced back from.
