I had my ears pierced about a year ago and the first 8-9 months I still had my first starter studs which I’ve never took out. From then I only started to wear earrings for short periods of time due to allergies, but I don’t want my holes to close.

Usually piercings close after a long duration of time without earrings or studs in. I'm not allowed to wear earrings for school and so I do not wear them for most of the time, sometimes ill put them in on weekends but more often then not I dont but my holes havent closed up and I can go without earrings for several weeks or a couple of months and have no issue with them when I do go to wear earrings. However my ears were pierced around 7 years ago so it may be different for you as yours have not had as long to heal...

Also sometimes if you have allergies you may be better wearing more expensive earrings (if you can) which are made out of pure silver or gold. I hope this helps x
