They can reject their choices [so they hold no offers] and make a single application through UCAS Extra, if that is unsuccessful, then they can keep on making a single application until 4 July They have until the 13th to hear back. Clearing will then take over.

If he has serious doubts then do not go and take a gap. Go to the uni and course they want. The results are what will give options.

When did he reply to his offers? You have 14 days to switch around offers once, after that you have to have permission from the universities.

See Changing your Mind.

Before he burns any boats, though, it's worth remembering that doubts about one's choice are very common indeed. Unless he is really sure he's got his choices wrong, and can articulate exactly why, it's generally better to hang on in there with them.

Hi @Bleddy

You can still apply for other University's but it is down to the University if they are still accepting students.

At Derby we are still accepting applications and you can apply through UCAS Extra. There is lots of information out there. If you have any questions let us know.

He could contact any other universities whose offers he originally declined, they may still have places left so he may be able to switch to a different university. On the other hand, he could go through clearing on results day.

I spoke to the UCAS page on Facebook messenger regarding my application and they were really helpful and managed to reply quickly to any questions I had, so that could be an option.
