It depends what part of English you refer to. Generally, lots of practice makes you very good in the subject, writing things such as essays for literature or analysis for language come as second nature to you with practice. You say you're in year 9 so don't worry just yet you have another 2 years to master your technique. I'd also recommend reading around the subject online and seeing how others would answer the question (if its set for homework or something) as then you can gain a better understanding of how to get marks and develop your analysis further. I only became relatively proficient in English a few months back and I'm in year 11, so just practice and it should come to you.
