We got to choose four subjects to which I chose, ICT, Sociology, Geography and the Schools History Project and then English Lit/Lang, Double Science and Maths.
    So 7?
But really 9 if you're counting English as 2 and science as 2.
That's all we were allowed to do.

I did 10 which is the maximum I could have done at the time.

They do GCSE's when your like 13/14 for drama and irish and stuff now in my school! And the whole two languages in two years thing.

11 GCSE's, it's a good number. Better to have fundamental GCSE's of a high quality than lots with some obscure subjects added on

If all goes well I should end up with 13 GCSEs.

Science x 4 (OCR Core, Additional, Biology & Physics)
    ICT x2 (Dida & ECDL - B Equivalent)
    English
    English Media
RE/Citizenship (short courses, total to one)
    Maths
    History
    French
    Psychology

So far I have 2 (Core Science and ECDL). Dida is currently in marking, have no idea when marks are back.

I'm taking 11 this summer. I did one last year (Maths) and one at the end of year 8 (Music) because I went to a specialist music school and "everyone does Music GCSE in year 8" there. I changed schools at the end of year 8, skipping year9 and going straight into year 10 as my parents were worried that I wasn't being pushed enough academically.

I did 12. Well, 11 and a half, since IT was a short course.

I only took 6 IGCSEs. I feel slightly lame. Maybe there's a difference between IGCSE and GCSE, because our school only allowed 6.

Yeah, IGCSEs are meant to be harder. Hence why you take fewer of them.

Really.. I thought they made them easier since they're not for native speakers, supposedly, or something like that. Strange

I have done 8 Scottish Standard Grades, which are worth only just less than GCSEs. :p:

I guess 8 Standard Grades could be seen as roughly 6 GCSEs.

How many are you doing this year/did you do? Do you think there is a stage where it just gets to too many?
I did about eleven I think. I used to think it was alot but it isn't really compared to Sixth Form.
