Can't afford uni

Will be moving away from home when starting uni in September but when I was looking at accommodation prices the cheapest is about just over 5 grand. Cause im a Scottish student saas have given me a bursary of £4750 cause of my household income, but im just wondering how I afford the rest of my accommodation price and money to live off for the rest of the year, do I just have to get a job and hope I have enough money?

Yep, you get a job and budget strictly. Have a spreadsheet of all your income and spending so you know exactly what you're doing with your money. Make meal plans a week in advance so you only buy the food you need to. Buy own brand things, never branded. If you absolutely must socialise regularly, choose things that are free to do.

If you aren't getting the maximum bursary, SAAS expect your parents tobe contributing towards your living costs. Your other options are a job as you said and an overdraft combined with careful budgeting.
Can you find somewhere cheaper to live?
